Topic 1: Church groups for me and you (Part 1)

The first topic is "Church groups for me and you".
I'm not really sure what to write so I'll just write out what comes to mind.

I am from CYF (Catholic Youth Fellowship) which is a youth group in Risen Christ. I've only been in it for about 4-5 months and I already find it comfortable fitting in. I think I'm the newest member of CYF which kind of tags me. From my perspective, CYF is a church group that consists of both the young and the considerably old. People in CYF are really kind. I have yet to see any unacceptable behaviour. They have helped me in many ways since I've joined. For example, I've had 2 tutors who helped me in my studdies, I've managed to find a "LAN gang" to hang out with & I've made many new friends ::D.

Being in CYF has also helped me improve my understanding of my own religion thanks to the sessions that are held every Friday. When I was in Primary 3, I stopped going to church. I can blame computer for that :P. A friend invited me to Risen Christ last year and now, I'm doing Secondary 2 Catechism. For the past few years, I never really knew much about the background of Christianity and that's another good reason for me to join CYF. I was supposed to have extra private lessons with Cally. But since I am in CYF, I need not have em. Although the extra lessons would be useful since I hope to become a Catechist myself to spread God's word. Of course, right now, I am even thinking of maybe joinin Mustard Seed. But of course, that might be a little bit too much for me to handle since I've got my N's and O's in this and the following year.

Not everyone has the privilege of being in a group that accepts them for who they are and who helps them in anyway possible. If you aren't in a church group yet, I am just simply advising you to join one. Join any one. Of course, it would be better if you were joining one with a friend by your side. Especially if that friend is as willing as you are to join that particular group. Everyone wants to be around people who are fun-loving and helpful. Do not threat if you see people that look like gangsters. "It's mis-leading to judge from externals". There are some people who I thought were frightening just by looking at them. But when they spoke with me, they changed my whole perspective of them.

Although not everyone in CYF is talking as one, I have hope that eventually, everyone will. Being in CYF has it's pros and cons. But there is an obvious majority of positive leads. As I've said, this is all I can think of writing. ::D Hope you've enjoyed it!
